Wound Care & Medical Glove Testing Equipment
Wound Care & Medical Glove Testing Equipment | EN 13726-3 & ISO 10282 Compliance
Wound care and medical glove testing equipment measures the elasticity, water resistance, and barrier integrity of bandages, wound dressings, and protective gloves before they reach clinical use. Manufacturers and QC labs rely on this equipment to confirm compliance with EN 13726-3, ISO 10282, EN 455-1, and related textile and elastomer test methods. Torontech's range covers bandage elasticity, glove watertightness, and dressing waterproofness, with multiple throughput options so labs of any size can find the right fit.

Applications
Wound care and glove testing equipment supports quality control across medical textile, dressing, and protective equipment manufacturing.
- Wound Dressing Manufacturing: verifies that adhesive bandages, non-woven dressings, and composite materials resist water penetration before they carry a waterproof claim.
- Medical Glove and PPE Manufacturing: checks examination and protective gloves for pinholes and barrier failures that could expose users to contamination or infection.
- Elastic Bandage and Compression Wrap Production: confirms stretch, elongation, and recovery properties on elastic bandages, sports wraps, and compression materials.
- Hospital and Clinical Supply Quality Control: screens incoming dressing and glove batches for consistency before they reach patient care settings.
- Contract and Third-Party Testing Laboratories: provides standardized platforms for wound care and glove compliance testing across multiple client product lines.
Wound Care & Glove Tester Range
The range covers three product families: bandage elasticity, glove watertightness, and dressing waterproofness, the last offered in three throughput levels.
Bandage Elasticity Tester – ToronMed™ BET01
Measures the stretchability, elongation ratio, and recovery of elastic medical bandages, adhesive bandages, sports wraps, and elastic textiles. A horizontal stretch mechanism with dual clamps and calibrated weights (75 N to 200 N) applies controlled tensile force, with results aligned to ISO 13934-1, ISO 9073-4, and ASTM D5035 for fabric tensile and recovery testing.
Medical Gloves Watertightness Tester – ToronMed™ MGWT01
Evaluates the watertightness of medical examination and protective gloves used in healthcare, laboratory, and chemical handling environments. Transparent mandrels hold up to 1000 mL of water against the glove surface to detect pinholes and barrier failures, in line with ISO 10282, EN 455-1, and ASTM D5151.
Waterproofness Tester (1, 2 & 5-Station) – ToronMed™ WPT Series
Applies controlled hydrostatic pressure to primary wound dressings, band-aids, medical tapes, and composite materials to determine whether water penetrates the material, per EN 13726-3. The series scales from single-sample screening to high-volume batch testing.
Model | Stations | Description |
1 | A compact single-station unit with automatic water filling and timing, suited to R&D and low-volume QC checks on individual dressing samples.
2 | Adds a second independent station for side-by-side comparison testing, with a 7-inch display and automatic pass or fail evaluation.
5 | Runs five samples independently or simultaneously, built for high-throughput labs that need batch waterproofness screening without sacrificing accuracy. |
How to Choose the Right Wound Care or Glove Tester
- For elastic bandages, wraps, or compression materials: choose the Bandage Elasticity Tester to measure stretch, elongation, and recovery in one setup.
- For examination or protective gloves: choose the Medical Gloves Watertightness Tester to detect pinholes and barrier failures before release.
- For low-volume dressing screening or R&D: choose the single-station Waterproofness Tester.
- For routine QC with occasional comparison testing: choose the 2-station model.
- For high-volume batch release testing: choose the 5-station model to run multiple samples without extending test time.
