Waterproofness Tester – 2 Station
Waterproofness Tester ToronMed™ WPT02 is a 2-station hydrostatic pressure instrument designed to evaluate the waterproofness performance of primary wound dressings and related medical materials. It is suitable for testing band-aids, bandages, medical tapes, coated paper, non-woven materials, and composite materials in different shapes and specifications.
This tester uses automated pressurization and timing to support consistent, repeatable screening when a dressing claims water resistance.

- Non-woven waterproofness screening: Supports routine evaluation of non-woven and composite barrier layers used in wound dressings and fixation products.
- Bandage and adhesive dressing waterproofness: used for bandages, band-aids, and medical tapes that need a water-resistant backing layer for daily wear.
- Coated paper and laminated structures: useful for coated/laminated medical materials where water barrier performance is part of product specification.
- R&D and incoming QC: helps R&D teams compare constructions and helps QC teams verify batch consistency with standardized pressure/time settings.
ToronMed™ WPT02 applies controlled hydrostatic pressure to a test specimen to determine whether water penetrates the material under defined pressure and time conditions. This is commonly used to evaluate “strike-through” or water barrier behavior of wound dressings and adhesive dressings.
