Theory and Method
A Wax Trimmer works by heating a trimming surface to a controlled temperature so excess paraffin on the outside of an embedded block softens quickly. Once the wax edge is softened, the operator can trim or shape the block more easily and keep the specimen block cleaner for later handling.
