Economical Laboratory Drying Oven (200°C) – ToronOVEN™ EL2
ToronOVEN™ EL2 is a reliable, entry-level forced-air blast drying oven built for everyday laboratory and light industrial use. Offering a temperature range up to 200°C across six capacity options — from a compact 23 L bench-top unit to a 456 L floor-standing model — the ToronOVEN™ EL2 delivers consistent thermal performance without unnecessary complexity, making it the smart choice for routine drying, sterilization, and heat-treatment applications.
The ToronOVEN™ EL2 drying oven is engineered for dependable, everyday thermal processing in laboratories, quality-control departments, and light production environments. Powered by the PMMA I control system, it provides straightforward temperature regulation, countdown timing, and over-temperature alarm protection — everything needed for routine workflows without the overhead of advanced programming.
The mirror-finish stainless steel inner chamber with freely adjustable shelving accommodates a wide variety of sample sizes and load configurations, while the cold-rolled steel exterior with an electrostatic powder-coat finish ensures long-term durability. A glass observation window on the door allows users to visually monitor chamber contents at any time, and the rotating two-stage door locking structure maintains a consistent, tight seal throughout each cycle.
Preheating chamber design and power-supply recovery functionality protect ongoing processes from interruption, ensuring reproducible results run after run. Whether deployed as a standalone bench-top blast drying oven or scaled up to a large-capacity floor unit, the ToronOVEN™ EL2 delivers the reliability that daily laboratory work demands.

Theory and Method
The ToronOVEN™ EL2 operates on the principle of forced-air convection. An electrically powered heating element raises the temperature inside the working chamber, while an internal fan continuously circulates heated air to eliminate thermal stratification and deliver uniform heat distribution across the entire usable workspace. This blast drying approach provides faster and more even heat transfer than passive gravity-convection designs, making it far more effective for moisture removal, sterilization, and material conditioning.
A resistance temperature detector (RTD) sensor continuously monitors the chamber temperature and feeds real-time data back to the PMMA I microprocessor controller. The controller adjusts heater output to maintain the user-defined setpoint with a fluctuation of no more than ±1°C at 105°C. An independent over-temperature alarm circuit provides an additional layer of protection: if the chamber temperature exceeds the user-configured safety threshold, the system triggers an audible and visual alert, guarding both samples and equipment from thermal damage.
The preheating chamber design conditions intake air before it enters the main workspace, further narrowing temperature gradients and shortening warm-up time. When power-supply recovery is enabled, the drying oven automatically reinstates its last active temperature setpoint following an unexpected power interruption — a critical safeguard for unattended, long-duration drying cycles. Together, these features make the ToronOVEN™ EL2 a dependable and predictable workhorse drying oven for everyday laboratory operations.
