Tissue Processor Linear Closed TypeToronTP™ 1500 is a bench-top linear closed processor designed to automate dehydration, clearing, and paraffin infiltration for biological tissue samples before embedding. ToronTP™ 1500 is built for complete automatic processing through the final paraffin bath stage and supports two tissue baskets running simultaneously with separate programmable control.

  • 14-station linear closed design: ToronTP™ 1500 uses 14 stations, including 10 reagent cylinders and 4 paraffin cylinders, in a bench-top linear closed layout. This supports automatic tissue processing while helping reduce evaporation from reagents and paraffin.
  • Dual-basket simultaneous processing: the system supports two tissue baskets running at the same time, and both can be programmed separately. This helps laboratories process different sample loads in parallel.
  • Automatic locating and memory function: the processor automatically finds and memorizes the starting position for each operation. Each cylinder also uses a separate positioning method to improve positioning accuracy.
  • Touchscreen programming and scheduling: operating parameters such as station time, temperature, and dripping time can be set from the touchscreen panel. The unit also supports daily, weekend, and weekly programming.
  • Up to 9 stored programs: users can store up to 9 different programs, and each program can be modified partly without rewriting the full method.
  • Dry-heated paraffin cylinders: the paraffin cylinders use dry heating, which removes the need for added water. This helps avoid issues related to low water level, corrosion, leakage, and water-related electrical risk.

Theory and Method

Tissue Processor Linear Closed Type automates the movement of tissue baskets through a programmed sequence of reagent and paraffin stations. During the cycle, tissue is dehydrated, infiltrated, and prepared for the final paraffin stage so it can later be embedded and sectioned.

ToronTP™ 1500 uses a 14-station linear closed design with 10 reagent cylinders and 4 paraffin cylinders. Two baskets can run at the same time, and each basket can be programmed separately. This allows the lab to process different loads in parallel while maintaining a closed system to limit evaporation.

The paraffin cylinders use dry heating, so no water is required. The system also includes programmable station time, dripping time, temperature settings, delayed start, and basket shaking to improve immersing efficiency during processing.
