Theory and Method
The ToronPath™ SP-UV (G364) operates on UV laser printing technology, a non-contact, consumable-free method that uses a precisely focused laser beam to permanently engrave text, symbols, barcodes, and QR codes directly onto the surface of standard glass microscope slides.
The laser spot size is extremely small, enabling ultra-high-resolution output at 2500 dpi. Because the marking process is chemical-free and non-contact, the printed information is inherently resistant to xylene, alcohol, decalcifying fluid, and other harsh laboratory reagents, making it suitable for long-term preservation. The built-in operating system manages print jobs autonomously, and slide loading and output are handled by an automated mechanism compatible with professional slide loading/output devices.
