Theory and Method
The ToronPath™ SP-150UV employs UV laser printing technology to permanently mark microscope slides through a non-contact, consumable-free process. A highly focused laser beam engraves text, characters, symbols, barcodes, and high-resolution QR codes directly onto slide surfaces at 2500 dpi. This laser-engraving process requires no ink, ribbons, or chemical agents, resulting in markings that resist xylene, alcohol, and decalcifying fluid — essential properties for histopathology workflows.
The built-in operating system enables fully autonomous operation. Slides are managed via FIFO logic in batch mode, and the lacquer side of each printed slide faces outward at output, eliminating contamination risk during collection.
