ToronCubator™ FT is a full-range temperature incubator designed for laboratories that require precise heating and cooling across a wide operating window without the added complexity of humidity management. This laboratory incubator covers a working temperature range of 4°C to 70°C, making it equally suitable for warm incubation protocols and refrigerated storage applications within a single, compact unit.

Available in five chamber capacities — 150 L, 250 L, 400 L, 800 L, and 1000 L — the ToronCubator™ FT series gives research and quality control laboratories the flexibility to match chamber volume to workload. The BRIGHT I control system, 5-inch color LCD touchscreen, and 6-stage adjustable fan speed set this laboratory incubator apart from basic temperature chambers. Connectivity is built in through one USB port and two RS-485 interfaces, supporting direct integration with data logging systems and laboratory networks. Theory and Method

The ToronCubator™ FT operates on a single-parameter closed-loop temperature control architecture. The BRIGHT I control system continuously reads live temperature data from the internal sensor and adjusts output from both the variable-frequency refrigeration circuit and the electric resistance heating elements to hold the chamber at the programmed setpoint.

Temperature Control

Cooling is handled through a variable-frequency compressor-based refrigeration system. The variable-frequency drive modulates compressor output in real time based on measured deviation from setpoint, rather than switching the compressor on and off at a fixed rate. This approach delivers temperature fluctuation within ±0.3°C during heating and ±0.5°C during cooling — with spatial uniformity within ±0.8°C at 25°C across all five models. The result is tighter, more consistent temperature control with lower energy consumption and extended compressor service life compared to fixed-speed designs.

Airflow Management

A key differentiator of the ToronCubator™ FT is its 6-stage fan speed regulation. Most standard laboratory incubators offer a single fixed airflow setting. The adjustable fan speed allows operators to balance temperature uniformity against sample sensitivity — higher speeds deliver faster temperature recovery after door opening, while lower speeds reduce airflow-induced drying or disturbance of open samples. The fan circulates conditioned air throughout the chamber to maintain the ±0.8°C uniformity specification consistently across all load configurations.

Programming and Data Management

Test profiles are structured as multi-segment sequences with up to 30 configurable segments per cycle and up to 99 repeatable cycles, covering ramp-and-soak temperature profiles typical of stability and stress testing protocols. An appointment timing function allows operators to schedule program start times in advance. All program data and session records are stored in non-volatile internal memory with a retention period exceeding 10 years. USB and RS-485 interfaces support export to external systems and integration with data acquisition platforms or building management networks. Multi-level password management limits unauthorized parameter access in shared or GMP-adjacent environments.
