The ToronPath™ SP-260 employs thermal transfer printing technology, which uses a heated print head to transfer ink from a ribbon onto the slide surface. This process is clean, dust-free, and produces no harmful gases, making it well-suited for enclosed laboratory environments. The ToronPath™ SP-260i variant uses infrared laser printing, directing a focused infrared laser beam to permanently mark the slide surface without physical contact.
Both technologies produce output that is resistant to xylene and alcohol exposure, ensuring specimen label integrity through the full staining and processing workflow. The 7-inch capacitive touchscreen and drag-and-drop template editor allow operators to design and modify slide print layouts quickly, with support for multiple saved templates.
