ToronPath™ SP-DUV is a dual-hopper slide laser printer designed for laboratories with demanding, high-throughput slide printing needs. By incorporating two independent loading hoppers, the ToronPath™ SP-DUV slide printer doubles the available loading capacity compared to single-hopper models, enabling extended unattended operation and significantly reducing workflow interruptions.
Like all models in the ToronPath SP-L family, this instrument uses UV laser printing technology to deliver permanent, chemically resistant markings at 2500 dpi — with no consumables required. The fully integrated design operates without an external computer, and the printed lacquer side of each slide faces outward at output for contamination-free retrieval.

Theory and Method
The ToronPath™ SP-DUV employs the same proven UV laser printing principle as the ToronPath™ SP-UV and ToronPath™ SP-150UV, using a tightly focused, non-contact laser beam to permanently engrave identification data (including text, symbols, barcodes, and high-resolution QR codes) directly onto glass microscope slides at 2500 dpi. What distinguishes the ToronPath™ SP-DUV is its dual-hopper architecture: two loading slots each accommodating ≥ 100 slides, providing a combined capacity of ≥ 200 slides per load cycle.
This design supports extended or unattended batch printing sessions. All printed markings are resistant to xylene, alcohol, and decalcifying fluid. The slide output mechanism ensures the lacquer side faces outward, keeping slides contamination-free. The built-in operating system enables fully stand-alone operation.
