Abel Closed Cup Flash Point Tester TT-170 adheres to ISO 13736 for the determination of flash points in petroleum products and other liquids using the Abel Closed Cup Method.
This international standard specifies a method for determining the closed cup flash point for substances with flash points between -30°C and 70°C. However, the precision of the method is valid only for flash points ranging from -5°C to 66.5°C. This standard is not applicable to waterborne paints, which should be tested using ISO 3679.
The primary application of this tester is to determine the closed cup flash point of petroleum products and other liquids, in accordance with the ISO 13736 standard.
It is specifically used for:
- Testing substances with flash points between -30°C and 70°C.
It is important to note that this method is not applicable for testing waterborne paints.
