Precision Ferrous Wear Debris Monitoring

Ferrous wear debris can indicate developing component damage before changes in vibration, noise, or operating performance become apparent. Particle Quantifier measurement detects disturbances created by ferromagnetic particles in a calibrated magnetic field and reports the result as a PQ Index. Because the method measures total ferrous debris regardless of particle shape and across a broad size range, it can reveal larger wear particles that may not be represented adequately through elemental analysis alone.
