Asphalt Saybolt Viscometer TT-88 encompasses empirical procedures for determining the Saybolt Universal or Saybolt Furol Viscosities of petroleum products at specified temperatures ranging from 21 to 99℃ (70 to 210℉).

The primary application of the Asphalt Saybolt Viscometer TT-88 is to determine the Saybolt viscosity of asphalt and other petroleum products, in compliance with the ASTM D88 standard. This empirical test measures the time it takes for a fixed volume of the liquid to flow through a calibrated orifice at a specified temperature.
