The primary application of the Manual Cleveland Open Cup Flash Point Tester TT-92 is to determine the flash point and fire point of lubricating oils and dark petroleum products, in compliance with the ASTM D92 standard. This safety test measures the lowest temperature at which vapors from the oil will ignite (flash point) and the temperature at which they will sustain a flame (fire point). It is specifically used for higher-boiling point products, excluding those with a flash point below 79°C.
